The Old Lamb Hotel (formerly a coaching inn) dates back to 1487 and is one of the oldest buildings in Theale. Constructed of old brick, beneath a thatched roof, the Breakfast room in the main Cottage takes you back in time with its beamed walls and ceilings. It boasts a large fireplace bearing the Royal Coat of Arms of Henry VII (1485-1589), which provides comfort and warmth and the informality which our guests appreciate. In the past the Inn had the patronage of many of the famous including highwayman Dick Turpin. Presently the Hotel caters mainly for business people, tourists and casual travellers. The Old Lamb is renowned for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Your custom is always appreciated at The Old Lamb, where you can always be sure of a warm welcome.
